The EAAT has been established in order to fulfill the following objectives :
- To raise the profile of addiction as a root cause of morbidity, mortality and health-economic aspects in society.
- To further collaborative efforts in research, pushing forward the boundaries of science.
- To provide opportunities for discussion, debate and presentation of new material through our annual conferences.
- To increase the knowledge of issues surrounding the science and treatment of all aspects of addictive conditions.
- To encourage cooperative efforts between academia and industry.
